How to Earn the Green Ribbon Schools Award
In order to earn the Green Ribbon Schools award, your school must PUBLISH a results page for at least one activity in each of the 4 CORNERSTONES (Eco Campus, Health & Fitness, Nature Adventure, Natural Classrooms).
Here is the process:
1) Create a Green Team at your school that includes teachers and students. Even better, get administration, parents and other members of the community involved.
2) Start GRS activities on the GRS website. Learn how to Start Activities.
3) Complete those activities in the real world.
4) Publish the Results of your activities. Learn how to Publish a results page.
Schools that go above and beyond the basic requirement will be given special distinction on the GRS website.
